Ingredients
  

  • Ready-rolled shortcrust pastry
  • 320 g Plain flour to dust
  • 50 gButter
  • 125 g Golden syrup
  • 25 g Light brown soft sugar
  • 100 g Cornflakes
  • 125 g Strawberry or raspberry jam
  • Custard

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Roll out the pastry and line a tart tin.
  • Bake the pastry blind for 15 minutes, then remove the baking beans and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden.
  • In a small pan, melt the butter, golden syrup, and sugar until smooth. Fold in the cornflakes.
  • Spread the jam onto the cooked pastry base, then top with the cornflake mixture.
  • Bake for another 5 minutes until the cornflakes are golden and toasted.
  • Allow the tart to cool before serving with custard.
