Preheat your waffle iron.
In a mixing bowl, combine 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp of baking powder, 1 tbsp of granulated sugar, and 1/2 tsp of salt. Whisk to combine.
In a separate bowl, beat 2 large eggs until fluffy. Add 1.5 cups of milk and 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter. Mix well.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients, whisk until smooth.
Optional: Add vanilla extract or cinnamon for flavor or use healthier substitutes like whole-wheat flour, low-fat milk, and less butter.
Let the batter sit for a minute to activate the baking powder.
Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Use a measuring cup to pour the right amount of batter onto the iron.
Spread the batter evenly without overfilling the iron.
Allow steam to subside before checking the waffles.
Carefully remove the cooked waffles using a fork or tongs.
Avoid metal tools to prevent scratching the iron surface.
