Ingredients
  

  • 250 g plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 350 ml milk
  • 115 g unsalted butter melted and cooled slightly

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your waffle iron.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp of baking powder, 1 tbsp of granulated sugar, and 1/2 tsp of salt. Whisk to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, beat 2 large eggs until fluffy. Add 1.5 cups of milk and 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter. Mix well.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients, whisk until smooth.
  • Optional: Add vanilla extract or cinnamon for flavor or use healthier substitutes like whole-wheat flour, low-fat milk, and less butter.
  • Let the batter sit for a minute to activate the baking powder.
  • Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Use a measuring cup to pour the right amount of batter onto the iron.
  • Spread the batter evenly without overfilling the iron.
  • Allow steam to subside before checking the waffles.
  • Carefully remove the cooked waffles using a fork or tongs.
  • Avoid metal tools to prevent scratching the iron surface.
