Start by preparing the sauce. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, Asian Sweet Chili Sauce, and water until thoroughly combined.
Next, add the chicken pieces to the mixture. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, ideally longer for deeper flavour absorption.
While the chicken marinates, you can prepare any side dishes or garnishes.
For the cooking process, heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces, reserving the marinade.
Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
To thicken the sauce, mix 1 tbsp of cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water and add it to the reserved marinade. Pour the mixture into the pan with the chicken and let it simmer until thickened.
Once the sauce has thickened and glazed the chicken, remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions before serving.
Prepare your chicken by cutting it into your preferred-sized pieces.
Combine the marinating ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Place the chicken pieces into the marinade and refrigerate.
After marinating, remove the chicken from the fridge and let it reach room temperature before cooking.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat; cook the chicken until it's nicely browned.
Pour the remaining marinade over the chicken and let it reduce to a thicker sauce.
