Ingredients
  

  • 1 refrigerated pie crust or frozen pie crust
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach thawed and drained
  • 1 cup diced ham or leftover ham
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere or white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Dash of hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the pie crust packaging.
  • Line the chilled pie crust with parchment paper or aluminum foil and fill it with pie weights, uncooked rice, or dried beans for blind baking.
  • Bake the crust for about 10-15 minutes until it turns light golden brown.
  • Remove the parchment paper or foil and weights, then return the crust to the oven for a few more minutes to fully bake and become crisp.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, nutmeg, hot sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Spread the spinach, ham, and cheese evenly over the prebaked crust.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the filling in the crust.
  • Bake the quiche in the preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 40-50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the quiche to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
