Creating the perfect pizza base at home is easier than you may think. With this tried-and-tested recipe for a homemade pizza base, you can enjoy delicious, crispy pizza in the comfort of your own kitchen.

- 500 g strong white bread flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 325 ml water lukewarm
Combine flour, salt and yeast in a large bowl.
Mix the olive oil and water together and add slowly until you form a dough. Knead the dough for 10-15 minutes, or until it’s smooth and elastic.
After kneading, put the dough in a bowl that you have greased with some olive oil. Cover it with cling film and let it rise for at least an hour.
Preheat your oven to 240°C or gas mark 9.
Divide the dough into two pieces. On a lightly floured surface, roll each piece out to the desired size and thickness of your pizza.
Place your pizza toppings on the base. Don't overload it or it will become soggy.
Place your pizza in the preheated oven. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are brown and crispy. Remove from oven, let it cool down for a bit, slice it up and enjoy!
