  • Soy sauce
  • Rice vinegar
  • Peanut butter or soybean paste
  • Minced garlic
  • Sweeteners such as honey or sugar substitutes
  • Chinese Five Spice Powder
  • Sriracha
  • Cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, peanut butter or soybean paste, minced garlic, sweeteners, Chinese Five Spice Powder, and sriracha in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Stir well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into a saucepan and warm over medium heat, stirring continuously until smooth and aromatic.
  • In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in cold water.
  • Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
  • Cook over medium heat for a few minutes until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
