Ingredients
  

  • 350 g plain flour
  • 125 g unsalted butter
  • 175 g light brown soft sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan).
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, ginger, and cinnamon.

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, and golden syrup until smooth.
    125 g unsalted butter, 175 g light brown soft sugar, 4 tbsp golden syrup
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir to form a dough.
  • Roll out the dough and cut out the shapes using the provided template.
  • Bake the gingerbread pieces for 12-15 minutes until firm.
  • Let the pieces cool before assembling with gingerbread icing as glue.
  • Decorate with candy, icing, and other festive treats.
