Dirty Fries Recipe

Dirty fries are a versatile dish that can be served in various ways. They make a delicious appetizer or snack for game day or parties, and they're also a great side dish for burgers, hot dogs, or sandwiches.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large Potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Lighter mayonnaise
  • 100 g Cheese grated
  • 2 Spring onions finely chopped
  • 4 slices Cooked ham chopped

Instructions
 

  • Start by preheating the oven to 200°C (180°C fan).
  • Line a baking tray with a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into chips or fries of your desired thickness.

  • Rinse the potato chips under cold water to remove any excess starch.
  • Shake off any excess moisture from the potatoes.
  • Place the potato chips in a microwave-safe container or food bag. Microwave them on high for 5 minutes to partially cook them.
  • In the same container or food bag, mix the partially cooked potatoes with oil, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper. Ensure the potatoes are evenly coated with the seasonings.

  • Spread the seasoned potatoes on the prepared baking tray in a single layer. Bake them in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are crispy and golden brown.
  • Transfer the crispy fries to a baking dish. Sprinkle them with cheese, ham, mayonnaise, and spring onions.
    4 tablespoons Lighter mayonnaise, 100 g Cheese grated, 2 Spring onions, 4 slices Cooked ham
  • Place the baking dish back in the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove the dirty fries from the oven and serve them hot. Enjoy their deliciousness as a snack, side dish, or party appetizer!
